Ponte San Giovanni (PG), green path: creation of eco-friendly mixed granular stabilized cycle and pedestrian paving along the Tiber river
The municipal administration of Perugia wanted to make a network of cycle-pedestrian paths of the highest naturalistic and environmental value accessible to all by proceeding with their arrangement through the use of eco-compatible materials, fully respecting the environment of the banks of the Tiber River.
Description of the project
The result obtained has a very high social value, allowing everyone to enjoy the routes, without exception, and allowing them to admire and enjoy the biodiversity that characterizes the area.
The choice of materials to stabilize, together with the ecological stabilizer from Terra Solida Italia, allowed the achievement of an exceptional result in terms of eco-sustainability, color and beauty perfectly inserted into a unique and high-quality setting.
The design requirements for the creation of the routes were mainly:
- eco-friendliness of all the materials used;
- colors and textures entirely in accordance with the lithology of the site;
- mechanical characteristics such as to guarantee long durability of the routes;
- permeability such as to guarantee full usability of the routes, even in adverse weather conditions, guaranteeing the absolute absence of stagnation and puddles of water.
Products used
To create the routes the following were used:
- Nature Premix, an eco-friendly natural binder, used for the stabilization of the aggregates used after adequate testing by the technical management of Terra Solida Italia;
- Stabilcure seasoning adjuvant to guarantee the correct maturation of stabilized surfaces.

Eco-friendly binder-consolidator in powder form, to be used to create natural and permeable paving, in stabilized earth, through mixing with soil present on site or with stabilized quarry mixes or with recycled aggregates deriving from demolitions, even if in the presence of clay and silt .
