Creation of eco-friendly natural flooring with stabilized granular mix at the park in via Matteotti Binago
The municipality of Binago wanted to redevelop this important city park equipped with a children's play area and located close to the Municipal Library, the Clinic and the Municipal House. The floors desired and created had to fit perfectly into this area intended for the aggregation, leisure and socialization of citizens.
Description of the project
In the design intentions, which were largely satisfied, there was the idea of paths with a rather linear trend, to delimit the areas intended for greenery, and made with indigenous materials stabilized with a certified eco-friendly natural binder with high mechanical performance and high durability. This allows you to use the common spaces with a pleasant feeling of well-being as the heat island effect has been greatly reduced, even in conjunction with severe thermo-hygrometric conditions with high temperatures.
The design requirements for the creation of the routes were mainly:
- eco-friendliness of all the materials used;
- colors and textures entirely in accordance with the lithology of the site;
- mechanical characteristics such as to guarantee long durability of the routes;
- high permeability such as to guarantee the non-waterproofing of the surfaces, guaranteeing full usability of the road with the absence of stagnation and puddles.
Products used
To create the routes the following were used:
- eco-friendly natural stabilizer Nature Premix, used to stabilize a mixture of aggregates adopted after adequate testing carried out by the specialized technicians of Terra Solida Italia;
- maturing aid Stabilcure in order to guarantee the correct maturation of the surfaces.

Eco-friendly binder-consolidator in powder form, to be used to create natural and permeable paving, in stabilized earth, through mixing with soil present on site or with stabilized quarry mixes or with recycled aggregates deriving from demolitions, even if in the presence of clay and silt .

Treatment for the correct maturation of stabilized surfaces. Stabilcure is a water-based product for the correct hydration of the hydraulic binder used for the stabilization of in situ soils or granular stabilized mixtures
