The events of recent years and climate changes require a new reflection on hydrogeological risk and a discussion to which Solid Earth, once again, participates with great commitment. An important topic addressed by the Order of Engineers of the Province of Cuneo in an interesting seminar relating to this topic current and fundamental. The appointment is for Monday 23 January 2023 at 14 pm at the Sala Monta Hotel Cavalieri Bra.
The seminar on hydrogeological risk
A moment of reflection, analysis and study on topics that concern hydrogeological risk, but also the instability of the slopes and the worsening of the situation caused by the worsening of the soil conditions and the change in increasingly violent rainfall. Today the instability of the slopes is a much debated topic, linked to geomorphological and geological aspects particular and always assessable with uncertainty, linked to the hydrogeological cycle of rainwater and to meteorological and climatic conditions.
The seminar places itself at the center of a debate regarding thescientific insight and technical nature of the topic, but above all the search for intervention solutions to mitigate the associated risks and protect the territory from environmental dangers. An arena open to engineers and experts interested in learning more and acquiring the necessary skills to be able to deal with aspects concerning hydrogeological risk with reference, in particular, to non-structural interventions in landslide phenomena and structural mitigation.
In this regard, the intervention of Dr. Geo becomes important. Maurizio Gioia who will speak on the subject and specify the risks relating to the natural and eco-sustainable floors with high drainage capacity that Terra Solida has been dealing with for several years with enormous success.

The program includes the intervention of Dr. Ing. Secondo Barbero on the entitled topic Water resources and sustainability: news of 2022 between emergency and lessons learned. Prof. Claudio Oggeri of the Polytechnic of Turin will then speak with landslide phenomena, causes and monitoring, then it will be the turn of Prof. Pierpaolo Oreste, who will talk about the slope modeling.
The interventions of Dr. Geol. Andrea Bodigoi on the control of surface erosion through the use of geomats and biomats, of Dr. Geol. Maurizio Gioia on Natural and eco-sustainable flooring with high draining capacity. Finally, Dr. Eng. Riccardo Betolina will talk about Collection, conveyance, treatment and reuse of rainwater.
