Nature Premix by Terra Solida® Italia for the first inclusive park in Italy
The works that will transform the San Valentino Park in Pordenone have started in first large fully inclusive Italian park, that is, disabled-friendly.
The project was drawn up by architects Francesco Casola and Erica Gaiatto and financed by the Locatelli family of Pordenone.
«It is not a simple redevelopment – explained Gaiatto – but an inclusive project aimed at a wider range of users, based on the principles of "universal design" for total participation and sharing of spaces and objects. We valorise what is there without inventing anything, taking inspiration from the values of the environment, of water, of the history of Pordenone".
We are talking about a park that will become unique at a national level in which disabled and able-bodied people will interact without anyone noticing the differences.
On the banks of the pond non-invasive terraces will arise to make it accessible to everyone in total safety and autonomy, also through multi-sensory interventions. Natural extension tables are also provided refreshment point, which will be redeveloped together with theformer paper mill. THE games they will be designed to be accessible to everyone at the same time: able-bodied children or those with any motor or intellectual disability. It will be a multigenerational space with areas for parents and grandparents, as well as space for birthdays.
I traced in the green they will be made accessible by softening the slopes and binding the loose aggregate, eliminating the roughness. For this purpose they will use the eco-friendly consolidant Nature Premix by Terra Solida® Italy. The routes created in this way will also be usable by people in wheelchairs, blind or visually impaired people.
