Creation of eco-friendly flooring in stabilized granular mix for restaurant paths Vignamare – Andora (SV)
The PEQ AGRI company, owner of the structure and of important and renowned wine companies, which has always been committed to environmental sustainability, wanted to create the paths between the vineyards and the service paths with certified eco-compatible and completely recyclable materials.
This is in full respect of the site, characterized by vineyards and olive groves facing the sea on the hills of Andora, and of the recovery of the structure used for catering and tasting from an old circular water tank abandoned since the 70s.
Description of the project
The paths were created with the stabilized earth system through the use of eco-compatible and 100% recyclable binders.
The high mechanical performance obtained gives very high durability to the walkways while the high permeability characteristics allow, at the same time, compliance with the principles of hydraulic and hydrological invariance and compliance with the requirements in the Minimum Environmental Criteria, CAM, currently in force.
The choice of materials to stabilize, together with the ecological stabilizer of Terra Solida, allowed the achievement of an exceptional result in terms of eco-sustainability, color and beauty perfectly inserted into a unique and high-quality scenario, together with the durability of the intervention .
The design requirements for the creation of the routes were mainly:
- eco-friendliness of all the materials used;
- colors and textures entirely in accordance with the lithology of the site;
- mechanical characteristics such as to guarantee long durability of the route;
- permeability such as to guarantee full usability of the routes, even in adverse weather conditions, guaranteeing the absolute absence of stagnation and puddles of water.
Products used
To create the routes the following were used:
- Nature Premix, an eco-friendly natural binder, used for the stabilization of the aggregates used after adequate testing by the technical management of Terra Solida Italia;
- Stabilcure seasoning adjuvant to guarantee the correct maturation of stabilized surfaces.

Eco-friendly binder-consolidator in powder form, to be used to create natural and permeable paving, in stabilized earth, through mixing with soil present on site or with stabilized quarry mixes or with recycled aggregates deriving from demolitions, even if in the presence of clay and silt .

Treatment for the correct maturation of stabilized surfaces. Stabilcure is a water-based product for the correct hydration of the hydraulic binder used for the stabilization of in situ soils or granular stabilized mixtures
