Creation of eco-friendly cycle-pedestrian paving in stabilized earth at the Gentile Park in Bari
At the request of DE GRECIS COS.EMA. VERDE SRL, entrusted with the secondary urbanization works of the Gentile Residence, has created, through the use of earth stabilized with the eco-compatible Nature Stabil Road system by Terra Solida Italia, the paving of the nature trails within the five "agricultural parks" equipped with play areas for children, cycle and pedestrian paths, fitness areas and public greenery to encourage social aggregation among residents, without obstacles and architectural barriers.
Description of the project
The project saw the creation of several areas equipped with games and recreational elements for children and teenagers connected to each other via cycle/pedestrian walkways.
The design requirements for the creation of the routes were mainly:
- eco-friendliness of all the materials used;
- mechanical characteristics such as to guarantee a long durability of the intervention;
- permeability of the wear layers such as to guarantee the absence of water stagnation and, consequently, to have a high degree of safety in the use of the routes even in the presence of severe weather conditions.
Products used
To create the routes the following were used:
- eco-friendly natural stabilizer Nature Premix, used to stabilize a mixture of aggregates adopted after adequate testing carried out by the specialized technicians of Terra Solida Italia;
- maturing aid Stabilcure in order to guarantee the correct maturation of the surfaces.

Eco-friendly binder-consolidator in powder form, to be used to create natural and permeable paving, in stabilized earth, through mixing with soil present on site or with stabilized quarry mixes or with recycled aggregates deriving from demolitions, even if in the presence of clay and silt .
